Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs is the latest big UK Gala to be added to the Festival line-up, and the third installment of the hugely popular animated franchise will be screened in digital 3-D.

The film is one of the animated highlights of this year, and the digital 3-D screening will certainly add another dimension to the Festival.

Animated features, including Ratatouille and Wall-E, have been audience favourites at recent Festivals, and Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs is another sure-fire crowd pleaser.

The film comes from the Oscar® nominated director of Robots, and features the voice talents of Ray Romano, Dennis Leary, Queen Latifah, John Leguizamo and, newcomer to the franchise, Simon Pegg.

The UK Gala screening of Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs takes place on Saturday 27 June at 14:15 in Cineworld.
