Since its establishment in 1997, the Edinburgh based Red Kite Animations has developed to become a prominent international producer of children’s content. Throughout the years, the Company, its founders and partners have been honoured with many awards including BAFTAs, Emmys, CableAces, Pulcinellas, Grammys, and an Academy Award. Now a subsidiary of the Singaporean August Media Holdings Enterprise, Red Kite aims to drive its success further.

Together with numerous short films and animated series, Red Kite’s properties have been aired by the world’s most renowned broadcasters – BBC, France TV, ZDF, Canal+, TV Catalunya, Teletoon, Cartoon Network, The Hub, Australian Broadcast Corporation – many achieving top ratings. Successes include Wilf the Witch’s Dog; The Secret World of Benjamin Bear; and the DC Thomson properties Dennis & Gnasher (CBBC) and Marvo the Wonder Chicken (Disney XD).

Red Kite is currently in production with two series, and has a development slate that underscores its commitment to produce a variety of programmes, targeting children of all age groups and a wide range of genres.
