JULY NEWSROUND 2008
Director Gili Dolev is happy to announce the completion of The Happy Duckling, an 8 minute animated adventure set in a pop-up book world.
The film was produced by a wonderfully talented and dedicated team of students from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Arts and Design and Abertay University. Original music by Mick Cooke of Belle and Sebastian, Written and directed by Gili Dolev.
Gili would like to thank the school of Media Arts & Imaging at DJCAD, the Computer Arts course at Abertay and ink.digital for their support.

Trevor Courtney’s short film King Pawn recently screened at The Galway Film Festival and the Darklight Film Festival in July. It will be screened at the LA Shorts Festival on the 24th of August.
New Town Killers
Iain Gardner and N. Taylor recently completed work on a title sequence for Richard Jobson’s latest feature film NEW TOWN KILLERS. Initial photography of actor James Anthony Pearson was captured against green screen and layered in After Effects with CGI backgrounds. New Town Killers is due to be released later this year.
Iain Gardner is also delighted to announce that he is to be the recipient of the Friends of the Royal Scottish Academy 2008 Bursary to develop two experimental hand-drawn animated sequences. Iain intends to use the Bursary to study two species being considered for reintroduction to the Scottish Landscape, the Wolf and the Beaver. The animation will eventually form part of a live performance of music by Stephen Davismoon inspired by the writings of Johnny Rodger.
